Schoeps VA 4 Adapter for Double Base (Corpus) for KC/CCM, span 200-260mm
The VA 4 is designed to clamp onto the body of a violin. A leather covering on all points of contact prevents damage to the instrument's surface finish.
By attaching near the edge of the violin where the motion of the wood is very slight, damping of the instrument is kept to a minimum.

Application
The capsule or compact microphone type which we recommend is the MK 4V / MK 4 or CCM 4V / CCM 4. The main axis is at the side of the capsule, which should be aimed toward the strings of the violin.

To protect the microphone against rosin deposits, a thin, dark gray foam cover (B 1) is included.
Very good results with the VA 4 have been noted especially in classical music recording.
