Dipstick Articulated Boom Segment

This is an add-on, two-stage, articulated extension for Boom Poles, reaching a maximum length of 2', allowing an ENG recordist to boom over the head of a cameraman or round corners, and achieve microphone positioning closer to the source. The locking flange boom attachment can be adjusted to any angle, including being folded backward onto the boom.

Main Benefits:

  • The toothed flange can be set to predefined angles
  • Once locked will not turn
  • Can be folded back on the boom or removed when not required

Overview

The Dipstick is an add-on accessory for our booms (or other brands) and permits booming over the head of a cameraman or round corners, allowing to get closer to the action. The toothed flange can be set to predefined angles and once locked will not turn.

The Dipstick can be folded back on the boom or removed when not required.

Note: The “QuickLok” (QRT) is the ideal completion for a completely rigid but quickly removable joint.
